In 2019 CAV, an italian motorway concession, commissioned T.net to carry out a Proof of Concept (PoC) on a section of the Venice-Padua motorway for the evaluation of Weigh in Motion System.
Scope
Tracking different vehicle parameters, such as weight, speed, number of axles, axle distance.
Methods
- WIM Sensors, Smart Cameras, Inductive Loops;
- Edge Computing;
- Cloud AI Algorithms.
Results
- Vehicle identified via license plate recognition (ANPR camera) and/or panoramic image (overview cameras);
- Recordings stored locally and remotely as well as assessed by Police or third parties;
- WIM System aligned with the Infrastructure Monitoring Software.
