Smart Mobility, Smart Parking
Everyday Taormina is subjected to a significant vehicular traffic flow. The means of transportation have to wait several minutes before to have the chance to enter the village and park. The Smart System is developed for allowing to calculate waiting times at tollbooths, travel times from the highway to the city center and to show the available parking stalls of municipal parking. Moreover, the System monitors the touristic service of cable car, informing of the waiting times for the next route.
Smart Lighting, Smart Metering, Smart Bin
A Smart City helps its authorities to save and optimize resources. Taormina City Tech uses Smart Lighting systems, Metering systems for pollutants and monitoring systems for garbage bins. Thanks to technology and to the cooperation of its citizens, Taormina triggered a virtuous process of Smart Community.
